2-Way Ball Valves

Overview

PERRIN Ball Valves are designed with an emphasis on the requirements of the Chemical and Petrochemical Industries, in addition to those for plant construction. Decades of experience in the Design and Manufacture of Ball Valves, employing ‘State-of-the-Art‘ machinery, forms the basis for the outstanding quality and reliability of the PERRIN products.

2-Way Ball Valves Floating Design

The 2-Way Ball Valves with a Floating Ball are designed having a 2-piece or 3-piece Body. With this design, the Ball Valve ‘Seal‘ is created on the Outlet (downstream) side of the valve, the tightness of the ‘floating‘ Ball onto Seat-Ring increases as the Inlet (upstream) pressure rises.

2-Way Ball Valves Trunnion-Mounted Design

The 2-Way Ball Valves with a Trunnion-Mounted Ball are designed having a 2-piece or 3-piece Body. With this design the Seat-Ring(s) create the valve ‘Seal‘, initially by the pressure of the Spring-Loaded Seat-Ring(s) onto the ‘fixed‘ Ball, then further enhanced by any Inlet (upstream) pressure.

Unlike the Floating Ball design, the Trunnion-Mounted Ball design has Lower Torques and is therefore more suitable for the Larger Ball Valve Sizes and Pressure Ratings, as forces are absorbed by the Lower Trunnion and Stem. As standard, these Valves ‘Seal‘ on the Inlet (Upstream) side of the valve. They are also available ‘on request‘ in a 'Double Block and Bleed (DBB)'- or ''Double Isolation and Bleed (DIB)' version.
